about the studio
Small software. Strange weather.
Static Hum Studio is a solo software operation based in Appalachia.
operator: Static
arch: local-first
stance: self-owned
signal: present
Apps, scripts, terminals, and small systems for people who would rather own their tools than rent permission to use them.
The studio favors local-first architecture, self-hosted options, plain files, understandable data, and software that can keep running after the sales page goes quiet. No telemetry theater. No subscription maze where a settings screen should be.
That is the front office. Behind it, the studio treats the strange as operational context. The machines report what they report. The terminal prints what it prints. The work continues.
Some products stay literal and useful. Some carry more signal. Either way, the interface has to work before it gets to be haunted.
The machines stay on. The frequency holds. Everything else is just the Hum.
